Our People

Leading the 350 union craftsman we have working on projects throughout New England are the following individuals, who set the tone for how ECI engages with customers and executes our mission:

Jay Smith

President, Co-founder

Jay co founded East Coast Interiors in 2003, along with John Adams. As a co-owner, Jay currently serves as President of ECI and currently oversees general operations of the business and daily management of the finish division. The success of the business is born from Jay’s wealth of experience and knowledge across all positions in the industry. Prior to his role as President of ECI, Jay served every type of role in the finish carpentry business as a field carpenter, project foreman, general superintendent, estimator, and project manager.

Bruce Adams

Bruce began his career with East Coast Interiors in 2009 after leaving his role as Northeast Regional Manager with Home Depot. He currently serves as a co-owner and Vice President of Operations and is involved in business development and sales, human resources, finance and accounting, and general operations of the business. He works closely with the rest of the executive team to develop and refine ECI’s strategy and implement all major company decisions. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Finance from Babson College.

Eric Lyman

Eric began his career in project management in 2013 after earning his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the New England Institute of Technology. His determination and technical expertise enabled him to grow fast within the division, and in May 2025, he was named Vice President of the Framing Division. Eric has a demonstrated track record of successfully leading major projects, including East Pier 5 & 6, Union Square tower, and the Whittier Place development. In his current role, he oversees all daily operations of the Framing and Siding Division and manages a team of project managers, coordinators, and estimators.

Ken Condon

Ken started his career with East Coast Interiors in 2012 after serving as a lead estimator and project manager for Shepardville Construction. Ken serves as Vice President of the Door and Hardware Division. He is responsible for all project estimates, project management, coordination, and logistics of the division.
